The Legendary Traxster finalizes the future of CWAL with a few options in mind.  Sony, Rap-A-Lot and The Legion Records are all potential homes for the Chicago-based CWAL.  The label originated with its first product in 1995 with Do or Die’s Po Pimp single.  Currently, everyone waits on where their latest self-titled release Illa WhiteFolks will end up.  Do or Die’s single landed a deal with Rap-A-Lot in 1995-1996, so surely history could repeat itself (this time for CWAL as a label).  However, Sony boasts major label status as well; while The Legion Records is an upcoming Chicago-based mega record label (they’ve signed Do or Die and Ric Jilla already).  Having choices for their future already shows a positive sign for CWAL.  The decision is most critical in keeping the heart of Chicago rap (The Legendary Traxster and CWAL) beating at a healthy state.
