Payroll
has 40 reasons why he muscles his way through these Chicago streets with his latest release, “Feel My Pain.” Both emotion and presence show deeply on this album as Payroll takes you on a trip through his mind, which in return allows listeners to actually comprehend a day of life in Payroll's shoes. Cap-1 had Pay at his side a few years back on the 40 Thievs record label. Roll goes on to explain what happened: "The CEO we had his name was Nate, he just one day threw his hands in the air, like man he's through with it. Because we came out with the Cap-1 "Theory of Life" album and he invested so much paper, wher he was like 'man fuck this shit, I ain't finna do this shit again' He ain't wanna take a chance with me with spendin another 150-200 thousand dollars, so he said fuck it. When he left it alone me and Cap went our separate ways." Since then, the two stay affiliated, but 40 Gang Music is the new empire in which Payroll drifts into his own leadership role.
He's running his own label, molding his own musical talents as well as his in-house artists – what else is the man doing? Answer: Staying active, Chicago style.
